The Wedding Present

The Wedding Present

Based on their song “Soup”

She can’t believe that’s the fourth bottle he’s uncorking
He can’t believe that they’ve just wasted another hour talking
He pours more wine into her cup and together they watch the sun come up

And a Treasure Island night show poster for the Fleet Foxes. They sound like fall to me.

Yep. It’s not supposed to look like a big deformed hand tweeking a psychedelic mammogram but now that it’s done and printed that’s what I see. But then again, I think about boobs a lot.  But maybe this is a good time for a PSA - ladies, go get your boobs checked out by someone other than me (I’m not a professional but I often play one when drunk).

Anyway — enjoy the show, Canada. Posters will be available at Secret Serpents in a few days.

The Gate (1987)

The Gate (1987)

I also whipped this piece out for the Alamo Draft House crew in Austin. If you are old, like me, you may remember this awesome PG-13 horror flick from the late 80’s. Some kids manage to find a gateway to hell (or some such similar evil dimension) in their back yard and all kinds of horrible stuff goes down before love and friendship triumphs over evil. Some awesome special effects too! Definitely influenced Evil Dead.

Anyway, these will be available at the show and online as well.

TV on the Radio

TV on the Radio

It’s hell week here in Tuff Land as final preparations are underway for this year’s impending European trek. I haven’t heard any of the new TVOTR material yet but I’m looking forward to seeing them in Hamburg

My bestest gal pal, Erica, installed some newsletter doohickey so now you can subscribe and periodically receive email updates. I can’t imagine it will be all that frequently — maybe once a month at most to announce new sales or events and crap.

The Night Marchers

The Night Marchers

I’m looking forward to this show tonight. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a good rock and roll show and John Reis and company are a pretty safe bet for some sweaty, beer-swilling action. A Rocket from the Crypt show at the 9:30 in D.C. around ‘93 ranks pretty high on the “Best Shows Ever” list.

Last weekend was another great Flatstock at Bumbershoot in Seattle. It was busy I never got a chance to check out any bands. Thanks to everyone who stopped by!

The coming ten days will be chock full o’ updates. So much work to do before the euro tour kicks off.

My Morning Jacket

My Morning Jacket (Fillmore Miami)

My Morning Jacket (Fillmore Miami)

Here’s the latest work for the Fillmore Miami Beach… promo only and not for sale.

In other poster new, I’ll be exhibiting at Flatstock at Bumbershoot this weekend (Labor Day) and the Treasure Island Music Festival in San Francisco Sept. 20/21. I’ll have all the Sept/Oct European dates up soon!

I have an eclectic mix of posters coming up including TV on the Radio to Laibach and Alejandro Escovedo to The Black Lips as well as some super-secret action.

Looks like I’ll have some of my t-shirts and other apparel in a shop here in SF soon too! It’s going to be a busy fall.

Thank you for being a friend!

Golden Girls No. 1

Golden Girls No. 1

I was going to wait to post these until I figured out some sort of purchase and fulfillment scheme but that is proving harder than I initially thought and I’ve been too caught up in other recreational pursuits to really give it the attention it needs.

Anyway, this was inspired by my friend, Rolanda, who loves the Golden Girls. Apparently, she is not alone as the response has been pretty positive. I’ll have a handful of these for sale at Bumbershoot. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait until fall if you want one.

The Human League

The Human League

The Human League’s Dare album was the first LP I ever bought. Unlike the other nine year-olds in my neighborhood, I was more obsessed with saving my money for new wave albums rather than baseball cards. I can’t remember for sure but I think I bought this at Sear’s. Rick Springfield’s Working Class Dog was my next purchase.

Bliggity bloppity boggity log! Tuffy got himself a weblog!

After years and years of wasting espace with my “Coming Soon!” web site I’ve finally decided to pollute the internets with more of my useless crap. You’re probably as stoked as I am about this!
